Bonjour monome! Parlevous Francais? Today, we are going international. We are going to bring Paris (Pari) to Crunchtime with D! Yes, from Paris, France, we are going to review these #pictureworthy Macarons straight from Maison Georges Larnicol in France, very respected purveyors of exquisite sweets.
Now, you are probably wondering, “how did D get these fancy treats,” since you cannot order these delectables from their website? I would LOVE to tell you that I jumped on a flight out of Newark to visit France. But, in truth, an extraordinary friend gifted my family a box of these special treats, which she bought exclusively from Paris. I felt so touched, honored, and favored. No, honestlyโฆMackenzie [@whiterose96], thank you from the bottom of my heart and my belly!
Now let’s get something straight. These are not Macaroons, which are just cookies with coconut in them. These are Macarons, which are a light, sweet, meringue-based confections – which most of the time – have an almond-meal filling. Notice from the video that there is one missing from the box. Well, I had to try one before the review – pinkies out, of course!
These Macarons were fragrant and absolutely #DLicious! I could not stop eating them, each a different flavor. They were perfectly crisp on the outside and sweet and chewy on the inside – as they should be. I’ve had macarons before, but never from France, and never this good. I mean, this box did not last long! When I visit Paris, I’m going to make sure that these unique delights find their way to my tastebuds! I hope that you’ll do the same!
